Making Newbury my home

In early December 2009, I said farewell to my home in sunny St Petersburg, Florida and hello to a snowy Newbury, my husband's long time home. Once settled, I began to work. Initially as a resident, I chose to change my work to locum in order to have a better work-family life balance. My longest work was for the former Tesco Opticians on Pinchington Lane in Newbury. During my time there, I had the opportunity to meet many people from the local area.

The time comes when we all experience age related changes. Our eyes and vision are no different than the rest of the body; our eyes age and change as well. In addition to changes to our vision, the eye health also alters with age. Sure there are all the common conditions we've heard of - cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration; but there are other conditions that are age related as well - dry eyes, droopy/hooded eyelids, and blepharitis.
